It was off to the races for a record crowd at the Cherokee County Historical Society’s annual Derby Day Party at the Crescent Farm Historical Center at the Rock Barn in Canton. Festivities at the afternoon soiree included a very competitive hat parade, a buffet of Derby fare and mint juleps by Downtown Kitchen, a silent auction and the viewing of the race.
